The In Between

Inspiration: To have the courage to persevere in the midst of great change.

So many of us have deep dreams and desires. These do not usually happen overnight. There is usually a time of transition. Let's call it "the in between".

How do we handle this in between place? We have done all we can in the external world but nothing seems to be happening. We may become frustrated, sad or impatient. It is important to rechannel these emotions in positive ways.

Having a morning practice or ritual of some kind helps us to ground and be centered in the present. This sets off our day from a clear place. There are numerous ways to do this. You may have a formal prayer or meditation practice. For others journaling or taking a walk in nature might do the trick.

No matter the modality, it is important to stay centered in the midst of change. Do you due diligence in the physical and trust that at the perfect moment, your dreams will come to fruition.

Have a very "peaceful" and easy day.

With Love,
Denise

Pure Acceptance of the Moment

Inspiration: To graciously accept the present moment regardless of what transpires around me.

Greetings. Last night was the second workshop I have given since I have been affiliated with Club H Fitness, a gym in Hell's Kitchen NYC. The advertising was limited by the club and I did my best to get the word out. Regardless of how many people attended, I was going to share my heart and give lovingly.

I arrived a bit early. Prior there was an issue with space. I did not have an enclosed room without loud music blasting in the background. I was told to hold this workshop in the lounge area, where people gather to eat or drink high protein energy shakes.
Not the most Zen experience. Then, I was told I could use an open stretch area upstairs, but would have to allow any members access to stretch while the seminar was going on.

So here I am, getting ready to set up in the open stretch area. I go into the yoga studio to retrieve blankets to make it more intimate and comfortable. There inside were two people exercising. There was no class going on or a sign not to go in. So I proceeded inside. As I walked in I saw Trudie Styler, Sting's wife with an instructor. I was off guard. I apologized for interrupting and grabbed about 10 blankets and piled them on my back. AS I left I looked like the hunchback of Notre Dame. So now I head upstairs with blankets in tow. Set up and leave for a moment. Upon my return, there are no blankets. Where did they go? Maintenance removed them.

As it turned out, the workshop was held in the lounge area. It was a small group, but the message of the evening was well- received. It was about how to enter 2010 gracefully and embrace change; The Mind, Body and Spirit Paradigm. A candle was lit and the space cleared of any stagnant energies that would obstruct the flow of intention I was desiring to produce.

Upon completion, we all blew out the candle and made a wish. It was very magical, for me. When I arrived home, I received an email from management asking me for the exact number of people and not to light a candle. There was an emphasis on the numbers. As my mentor, friend and teacher Elana Kilkenny reminds me, it is not about the quantity. It is about showing up fully no matter how many are present and giving your whole heart. In a corporate environment, I believe this may be difficult to digest as numbers are what drive revenue. But just as we drop a pebble into water, such is the seed I have planted last night. Over time, I look forward to this trickling out effect and inspiring those people that are meant to be inspired.

I wish you all much peace, light and love.

Warmly, Denise

Constistency and Commitment

Inspiration: To stay the course until the manifestation occurs.

So many of us desire to take ourselves to another level. Whether it be personal or professional, at some point, we all wish for things to be different. Wishful thinking is just that, wishful thinking. There are the action steps we need to take to make our dreams come true.

Moment by moment, each day, consciously decide what is truly important to you. Do your best not to get caught up in the when and hows. Take risks. Go outside of you comfort zones in addition to doing the necessary grounding work. Actively take action. Whether it is reading relevant material, contacting someone who could help or lifting your mindset to a new level.

It is not easy. But with practice, over time, miraculous transformations will occur beyond your wildest dreams. Stay positive, stay connected and remain loving.

Warmly,
Denise

Finding Stillness

Inspiration: To be still and embrace beauty.

Stillness. For some that may mean meditation, for others a reclining
position. There is no right or wrong way to be still. Stillness offers us the opportunity to embrace the present, without projections or expectations.

Personally, I find it very peaceful and healing to watch the sunrise or sunset. In these moments, the material world seems to dissolve. My heart swells with gratitude and joy. Everything is as it should be.

I invite you all to lovingly schedule a day this week to witness the sheer beauty of the sky. Whether it is day or night, with or without sun, these moments of stillness will envelop you and make you feel "blissful". Enjoy the peace. :)

With Love,
Denise

Welcome 2010 !!!

Inspiration: To embrace the new with eyes wide open.

Greetings in this New Year !

We are entering a time where great transformation is possible. Many have gone through periods of tremendous growth and change in 2009. Now is the time to embrace all that is. To live consciously and present in each moment. This is where the greatest possibilities are.

Most recently, I been listening to the inspirational teacher Eckhart Tolle. His message is so powerful and simple. "Stillness is thoughtless awareness." From that space we experience the NOW and all the gifts inherent in the moment....which in truth is really all there is.

As we enter this new week, be open to presence. Accept the moment as it is, without struggle or expectation. From this space all blessings can be yours.

Have a very "peaceful day.

With Love,
Denise
